Panasonic has announced its Toughbook 'CF-U1', an ultramobile PC that features 5.6-inch WSVGA sunlight-viewable LCD touchscreen with anti-reflective screen treatment and white-LED backlighting.
The device operates on the full-function Windows XP or Windows Vista operating systems, 16GB solid state removable drive, 1GB of memory with magnesium-alloy chassis to protect from bumps and drops of up to four feet. The magnesium body measures 7.2 x 5.9 x 2.2 inches and it weighs 2.3 pounds.
The Toughbook will be available worldwide in August with an estimated street price of $2,499.
